Cow Bombie

Dom Pérignon

P2 Brut Champagne Blend 2002

Wow...holy cow this is good! Drunk blind against DP 2002 und 2008(!!!) this destroyed both. Combined an insane depth of flavour with freshness. Set a new standard of how a great Champagne should taste! — 3 days ago

Not even surprised. Rick went to his cellar and slapped his you know what on the table. This is a beautiful example of Bdx.
Cow dung nose gives way to a sweet, textured palate. Tannins are close to be resolved, but zero tertiary notes. Great acid structure completes an excellent presentation from a lack luster vintage - boys w/end in Pittsburgh.

Big Basin Vineyards

Homestead Block Roussanne 2017

Nicely done. I like the Amphora texture and acidity. Queveri-ish. Good food wine. For on its own enjoyment, would love to see lightly topped with late harvest Roussanne. Lemon+Honey 🐝

I also want to bury the Amphora ceremoniously, with you (Bradley) and Randall Grahm.... on an eclipse/lunar biodynamic magical night, you already got the patio with a firepit to fulfill the bonfire... cow horns and crystals for everyone :) haha

Natural style, nice funk, reasonable 14% ABV, Alice Feiring club selection. FYI the côt varietal is Malbec … name comes from Cahors in SW France where it originated — 3 years ago

Interesting name! It's a pun with a reference to the Lascaux cave which are famous for their cave paintings representing animals such as this Buffalo, as seen on the label. Last cow - Lascaux

45+ minute decant and could have benefitted from more. Mix of red and purple colors. Amazing nose! Floral, earth, cow shit, and smoke. Resembled some very high end Bordeaux’s. Wine gets interesting from there. Lots of spice, minimal fruit, and a smooth texture. Short finish. Pretty good value and I want to try again. — 4 years ago

Hommage à Jacques Perrin Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2004

Holy cow., this is very pure and intense but light. Such delicious and resolved fruit. The restraint of the vintage shines though but there’s a purity and essence here. Great stuff — 10 months ago

Vigna Scot Dolcetto d'Alba 2019

Quite dark in color and on the slighly viscous side; red and blue fruit on the nose with liquorice, cow stable scents, and sweet candy notes; medium alcohol (feels higher than the 12.5%), and acids, cherries and blueberries, and a nutty medium-long finish. Well made and true to the saying that Dolcettos are the Italian Beaujolais (which I usually don’t agree with). — 4 years ago
