The 2019 Barolo Le Coste di Monforte is a gorgeous, exotic, intriguing wine. Dried flowers, mint, lavender, spice, tobacco and incense are all beautifully delineated. Ample and vibrant, with tons of depth, the 2019 is absolutely compelling today. The 2019 offers tons of Le Coste power, and a good deal of finesse as well. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, December 2023)

Lemon-grapefruit aroma and flavor with a smooth finish, nice introduction to a sparkling rosé from a part of CA not as famous for wine — 4 months ago
Magnificent Alpine Red. Blend of Petite Rouge (75%), Mayolet (5%), Vien de Nus (10%) and Premetta (5%). Medium red color with purple highlights. Intense aromas and flavors of dark chocolate, black cherry/elderberry/huckleberry fruit, purple flowers, roasted nuts, black licorice and pepper spice. Firm tannins and a long, lingering and velvety finish. No sign of oak aging. Well balanced with excellent structure. A most pleasant surprise. Revisited in January 2024. Excellent! — 8 months ago

A very unusual wine.
Nose: Malvasia but elegant. Floral. Tropical. Nice brine.
Palate: lightly tropical. But big mineraliaty. Good acidity.
Great briny finish.
A great pick. — 25 days ago
