Diego Conterno

Barolo Nebbiolo 2019

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two hours. The 2019 pours a garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart red fruits: strawberry, raspberry, Morello cherry, roses, dried green herbs, and gravely earth. On the palate the wine is dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. From one of the lesser known Conterno’s…but still quite lovely. Drink now through 2039 — 23 days ago

Rapet Barolo Nebbiolo 2017

2017 vintage. A bit of everything with medium body, requisite tannins, slightly reserved fruit and spice/tar shouting here and there. $35.10 bottle resto cost. Don't need Barolo but couldn't say no at that price. 06.11.25. — 2 months ago

Bodegas Los Bermejos

Lanzarote Diego Seco

A very unusual wine.

Nose: Malvasia but elegant. Floral. Tropical. Nice brine.

Palate: lightly tropical. But big mineraliaty. Good acidity.

Great briny finish.
A great pick.
