Dinner out with Sarah, goes great with the pasta and cannoli! — 3 years ago
Medium ruby , narrow garnet rim . This is a touch herbal , with some dark cherry, blackberry , meaty notes , slightly wet slate notes. After a while this opens up a bit more showing more dark fruits , black pepper , cherry jam and violet . On the palate this has good cherry , slightly smoky , herbal dark fruits . Nicely elegant on the palate , fresh acidity and slightly chalky tannins . This is drinking well now with time , but with still show well over the next 5-10 years. — a month ago

Apricot, tropical juice, fairly light and elegant. I'd have preferred more minerality, this might have been lost with age — 4 years ago
17.5+. Wonderful peppery nose. Good fruit, mature but several years left. M+ length. Classic+ — 25 days ago
No formal notes . Deeper ruby , medium wide ruby , garnet rim . Nice dark fruits , garrigue , black pepper. In the mouth nicely balanced acidity dark fruits , black pepper and herbal touches . Quite mineral and balanced on the medium length finish , fine slightly grippy tannins . Elegant and refined. Drinking well now though absolutely no rush , prime drinking over the next 5-10 years perhaps . — 2 months ago

So first, a caveat: This NEEDS food! It just does. When first opened I really wasn’t a fan, tried to pair it with some lighter charcuterie fare and cheese and it just did not gel. It isn’t the crisp, light bodied chard you’d expect it to be, it’s full bodied, thick, and complex, but once we found the right food, paired with steelhead salmon cooked in butter and bacon grease, wooooah, this moves like you’d found the perfect dancing partner. The color is typical Chardonnay yellow with green hues towards the middle, with strong Meyer lemon and slight dusty stone in on the nose, maybe even some leafy, vegetal notes hidden in there. — a month ago
