This is LV14. No dosage. A year and a half since my last btl, roughly. On the nose: melon, with creme fraiche, basil, meyer lemon, meyer lemon zest. Not sure I would believe BdB blind. Color suggests skin contact...almost soft peach. On the palate: aggressive mousse at first...maybe needed a decant. Lovely acidity, lime, bitter citrus, a touch short, and very juicy on the dense and tangy finish. A stunner. — 3 years ago

Rías Baixas Albariño 2021

This pale yellow wine smells strongly of flowers and citrus - it is a beautiful nose, really gorgeous. The palate is somewhat soft and has mineral notes along with Meyer lemon and tangerine. Acidity comes in at medium strength, just enough to tingle the tongue. The sip is wonderful, with great flavors and an easy drinking mouthfeel. — 2 years ago

This - drink now wine was really not made for aging - !!!! was lost in my cellar. I have no system whatsoever and like surprises. Lots of acidity. Faint kerosine notes like in an aged Riesling. Lemon curd. Meyer lemon. Crushed partially oxidized apple pulp. After 1 hour and reaching RT profound apricot flavors and a touch bitter. A great wine for an at the time a ridiculous low price. Blauschiefer Spätburgunder 2018

Slightly denser & darker vs the ‘normal’ Spätburgunder... still very fresh & pure yet the cherry gets darker and some darker berries appear and whiff of mushroom. Beautiful mouthfeel, juicy, velvety tannins, the wood showing a nice backdrop against the purity of fruit, the minerality of slate shining through, a touch of dark chocolate & coffee inter finish.
This has flow, this has depth, not sure though if, at this point in time, it justifies the +50% in price vs the normal Pinot.
A truly lovely wine, nonetheless!
