Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of about an hour. No formal notes. Sourced from an acre parcel right next to Gouttes d’Or, the 2022 “En Luraule” is richly textured and endowed with good fruit, character and substance. A touch reductive. My first experience with Jobard and hope to cross paths with it again sometime; especially with more time. 50/50 barrique and foudre; the former approximately 20% new. Drink now through 2037. — 2 months ago
2024/7/12-14. I’ve really missed drinking Jobard’s wines. Opening with toasty lemon tart, this reveals a wide, spicy bouquet and a remarkably savory, saline mineral palate. — a year ago
