Vieilles Vignes Corcelette Morgon Gamay 2022

The KING of Beaujolais! Though Daniel will not admit to such a silly moniker, he faises, for me, the greatest portfolio of Cru Beaujolais wines on the planet! — 20 days ago

Morgon Corcelette Vieilles Vignes Foudre No. 4 2018

This is back to the Bouland vintages we love. Subtle natty tones but nice red fruitiness. Maybe deserved a touch more air. — 5 years ago

Bellevue Morgon Gamay 2020

2020 Daniel Bouland Bellevue Cailloux Morgon - Gamay from Beaujolais. This is a medium to full bodied wine. Bouland wines are described as defiantly deep, dark, country-style reds with plenty of grip and overflowing with personality. These are wines that are built for the long hall, unlike so many of the region’s wines. I describe this wine as brilliant and delicious. This wine is drinking nicely even without bottle age.

Once again, Beaujolais because they can be deliciously beautiful. Casualness in a bottle with a touch of class. Also can’t beat the QPR on some of these, especially this one.

@Tom Casagrande My first time trying this producer. Really impressive.

Chiroubles Gamay 2018

Really solid. Polished and silky, but earthy and mineral and rustic too. Held up for days. Structured but not impenetrable; could age, but I didn’t eat the baby. Good work in a sloppy hot year. Bouland deserves more attention; I think he’s surpassing a few of the heirs to the gang. — 4 years ago

Schiste Bellevue Morgon 2016

These wines when young have felt dense - but at 9 years have shed some fat, with sappy but lively fruit and a tense, mineral energy — 6 months ago

Vieilles Vignes Morgon Gamay 2017

Columbia County 2.0: interesting drinking this day after a German Pinot, as I found them surprisingly related. A fave Beaujo producer’s Morgon, also a cooler tone & elegant. Blackberries & cassis, darker berries and a fine grittiness to integrated tannins. I like this drinking window (6 yrs) but imagine several if not more left. — 2 years ago
