To be specific, this is the Laubenheimer Karthauser Riesling Trocken. Very exuberant nose. Loads of bright, ripe green apple fruit, a little fresh green herb (tarragon?), a yeasty note, and loads of slatey minerals. Very fruity on the palate, round textured, acids are quite soft. Not super complex but very fun. — a year ago
A bright and pretty color of pale lemon with hint of green. Like a sophisticated limeade. A really superb nose- with lemon oil, some petrol, kumquat, lime. Very distinctively Riesling but so harmonious and complex. On the palate very intense and detailed. Still clearly sweet but the sweetness is very integrated. Great acidity still and a long finish. Excellent stuff-what a treat when there’s enough age to hit this balance. Years ahead too! — 5 years ago
Super concentrated ice wine, delicious, really intense, a little bit goes a long way — 7 years ago
2014. Salty, Briney and acidic wine with super clean flavor with strawberry to finish. Notes of honey and almond on the nose. Big legs and great sugar profile. — 6 years ago
A true delight, with strong tastes of peach, nectarine and apricot. Definitely on the sweeter side, but is definitely a dinner wine. It paired nicely with seafood. — 7 years ago
