Aged in French oak (85% new) for 12 months, medium Ruby with aromas of red berry fruit, floral and herb spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and tart raspberry with smoky and pleasant earthy herb notes, wrapped in vivid acidity and nice mouthfeel. Cooper & Thief Cellarmasters

Bourbon Barrel Aged Cellarmaster Select Red Wine Blend 2014

Deep ruby in color with a short purplish rim.

Sweet nose of blackberries, blueberries, carmel, vanilla, oak, spices, chocolates, coffee, mocha, tobacco and black pepper.

Full-bodied and extracted with medium minus acidity and long, long legs.

Dry to off dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, raisins, dried figs, wood, vanilla, cloves, tobacco, coffee, chocolates, peppercorn, spices, earth, light vegetables, bitter herbs and graphite.

Long finish with soft tannins and cherries.

This California Red blend is always enjoyable.

Good by itself as a sipping wine by the porch, but might be sweet for some. Big, jammy and bold with nice complexity and a long finish.

This 5 year old is still drinking very nicely. I aged it for a few years, but I don't see much difference. Easy to drink, so watch out with all that alcohol. Great for parties. 😉

Aged for 3 months in Bourbon Barrels.

17% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$25.

Bodegas Juan Gil

18 meses Jumilla Monastrell Blend 2020

Began 1916, when Juan Gil Giménez, great-grandfather of the present generation, built a winery in heart of Jumilla. Blue label spent 18 months in new French and American oak barrels. Monastrell, Cab Sauv & Syrah blend (60/30/10), low yield, aromas of red berry and toasty oak. Palate shows flavors of dark berry fruits, espresso, cacao and hints of sweet spice. Round dusty tannins, well integrated with oak, medium+ finish ending with fruit and rich earthy oaky character. Nice! — a year ago
