Served with the Vinloq System from a 375ml after CNY dinner
Day 1
👃Apricots and honey🍯. Also peaches, and with time: pineapple and some light florality.
👅Peaches, tropical fruit, acetone. Hints of vanilla/oak especially on the finish.
Proper acidity and med sweetness
Alcohol not exposed. Nice 👍
Preserved in fridge under preservation gas. Sauternes resists oxidation well for multiple days or longer without preservation. However, I didn’t return to this bottle for over 4 weeks
Day 29
A new perfume note this time that I didn’t be notice on Day 1
A little more soft and rounded in character now but the same score
Still drinking nicely — 3 years ago
July 7, 2021. Dinner w/KK 😁 Jack D, and J2. Celebrating KK return to CoMO, albeit just a visit. She brought pizza, I pulled out this wine. Perfect w/pizza and a lovely super Tuscan from Maremma. 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Slightly different than the 2012 vintage I drank and rated in March. This is just as yummy, though less aged so more fruit (dark cherry) and less earth and leather. Still wonderful. Drank both bottles I had. Need more! — 3 years ago
As other reviewers have noted, this wine is earthy with chocolate notes. It has good nose with some alcohol in it. The finish is wonderfully dry. I haven’t had CDP in an awhile and this was a great return. It may have been just a bit strong for our Thanksgiving turkey dinner. But it was so good, it was still a special occasion. — 10 months ago
An entry level Rufina, but so QPR in a medium bodied 95 % Sangiovese 5% Colorino blend. Drank over 3 days, & it kept on giving. Dark red fruits like ripe plum with bay leaf in the background; medium acidity with a fantastically chewy mouthfeel, almost grainy. For 11$ & change on sale, high return QPR. Matched perfectly w roasted carrot & Brussel sprouts lasagna — 3 years ago
Limpid orange. Mineral-accented blood orange, strawberry, floral and succulent herb scents show fine definition and pick up a spicy nuance with air. Chewy and densely packed yet energetic and sharply focused on the palate, offering vibrant red berry, bitter cherry, citrus pith and honeysuckle flavors and a deeper peach pit flourish. The mineral and floral notes return on the very long, precise finish. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, June 2021)

Wow. I was lucky enough to return home to aus, go through my wine collection, and see that the 2000 Coonawarra Merlot needed to be drunk right now. The cork had broken before we were able to get it out, but it's still an amazing drop. Just wow. It's one of the best Cabernet Merlots I've had here in Australia. We make fucking great wine. Looking forward to getting my hands on a fre mire. We enjoyed this with Charcuterie and cheese from Australia.
Medium bodied red with a beautiful velvet finish in my mouth. Get your hands on this gem. — a year ago
Yum, Yum, Yum. And so fun to share a magnum w/friends. June 11, 2022. Sharing tastes of Italy after my return. Bought this bottle at auction. Drinking perfectly right now. Black fruit, leather. Soft, integrated tannins. Lovely. — 2 years ago

Beautiful wine. Says something new every time you return to the glass. Great texture. Paired with fried maitake mushrooms. Thanks @Spencer Fox — 6 months ago
