Coto de Gomariz

The Flower and the Bee (La Flor y la Abeja) Treixadura 2019

Bright golden color. Aromas of tropical fruits, white flowers and sea spray. The palate leans more toward pear and unripe peach with a pleasant herbal note on the finish. Mouth filling texture, medium body and crisp acidity. There is a bit of weight (pleasant) but it’s not over the top. Still fresh (opened almost five years past the vintage date) and quite fruit forward. So interesting! — 9 months ago

Flor de Goda

Campo de Borja Garnacha 2019

I opened this on Thanksgiving, and it was more tart than I remembered from previous tastings. I cloded the bottle and moved on to other wines. After sitting in my fridge for a week, it smells like prunes, black cherries, and a hint of chocolate on the nose; medium minus acidity; medium tannins; tastes like blackberry sauce and crushed gravel with a long finish. I love this wine, and Nellie likes it too. I will decant this wine for at least an hour the next time I open a bottle. It's much more impressive after a week in my fridge. — 2 months ago

La Caña

Rías Baixas Albariño 2020

Pale lemon with crisp stone fruit and citrus aromas. On the palate apple, pear and melon flavors with citrus lime zest. A consistent offering from La Cana. Medium finish ending with fruit, spice and mineral tang. Nice value. — 3 years ago
