Another reminder of criminally undervalued Etna wines are in both quality and price. Ashey light red fruit with some spice notes carry from sip to finish. Silky smooth and elegant a real winner from Franchetti that is drinking beautifully right now. Grapes grown on 70-100 year vines at altitude with a little 🌋🌋🌋 magic thrown in for good measure. — 7 years ago

2014 is 70% PV, 30% Cesanese d’Affile. His Tête de cuvée. rich ripe unctuous on the nose. really extracted. It’s good, it’s a bit hot but it also needs time. black fruits it’s well made- just not my thing. — 4 years ago
