Whitney Frederick brought. Really good. Dark brown — 2 years ago
My kind of wine but I’m predictable. Medium ruby but starting to show age on the rim, day bright. Aromas of violets, GBP, un-spicy jalapeño, black plum, black berries, yet also tart red cherries and cranberries, forest floor, meat, leather. Sweet tobacco on the palate. Dry, medium plus acid, medium plus tannins, medium alcohol, medium minus body. I would personally drink this anytime but could be a perfect fall/winter pick with all of the complexity and warm tertiary aromas. Love. — 4 years ago
Walla Walla Bordeaux-Style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (48%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (14%) and Malbec (8%). Totally opaque ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas of dark fruit, cedar, dried herbs and graphite. Abundant dark cherry/plum/currant/berry flavors with additional notes of those dried herbs, iron and wet soil. Ripe, plush, nicely structured and well layered. Smooth tannins and extremely long finish. Alcohol is noticeable out of the bottle but does calm down with aeration. — 9 months ago

I don’t drink many purple wines these days in fact if any, but this was a gift from a colleague & supervisee so I felt a certain obligation. Not a bad one: new oak obvious, still has some lift and floral notes through that blueberry/ blueberry pie palate. You could do a lot worse, and Frederick Wildman thought enough of it to import. Still, caveat is that not my taste but some may be wild over it ( a 92 from J Suckling?! My lord, he does score high). — 4 years ago
