Deep red. Smooth. Dark cherry, currants, blackberry, cinnamon, love this . . . had with cheese fondue followed by dark chocolate fondue - paired very well with both. Will definitely look for this at my local wine shops. — 23 days ago

Well totally closed on opening. Put cork back in and let sit 3 days and it is way better. Huge wine but so freaking good. Blueberry pie, green peppercorns, blackberries, plums, tomato, fresh herbs, flowery perfume, mixed berry jam. It has so much texture. Just keep smelling and tasting new stuff. The prices have increased so not quite as much value, but if you’re into huge CA Rhône’s that have just enough balance, this is a fantastic wine. — a month ago
Drank over a few days. Very light gold color, which is surprising after smelling and tasting it. Very rich nose of sweet apples/pears, lychee, and subtle perfume. Smells like a scratch and sniff book :). Similar on the palate but more refined. Medium depth and finish. Pretty darn good for $30. Probably gets better with age, but ready to go now. — a month ago

The 2022 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard is such a unique wine. Bright floral aromatics and lively acids make a strong opening statement. Pomegranate, blood orange, raspberry jam, slate, crushed rocks and clean mineral notes all drive through this heady, explosive Syrah. This is a magical wine from Joey Tensley. So insane! Killer value. Dead ringer for a high end northern Rhone. — 7 days ago
