In a nice restaurant in my parents' city near Toulouse with a surf and turf theme. I'm having octopuss legs with risotto and it goes well with it.
It was a bit reductive at first with flinty notes that blew away after a while. Honey, wax, apple notes. There are some minerally notes too. Could it be chalk? The palate shows a massive acid backbone, some apple and honeyed notes, and a long and fresh finish with the same notes that goes on for a long while. Good stuff and great pairing! — 4 months ago
One of the best gamay wines I’ve had recently. So much fresh cherry juice on the nose. Palate is more cherries, black currants, a bit of savory herbs, a tiny bit of game on the finish, overall just outstanding. Definitely had reduction on the nose on opening which went away after 20 minutes. I love gamay like this. — 9 months ago
3.4 Bordeaux blend with cheery fruits and a lively long smooth aftertaste. On sale for $13.99, a best buy, regularly $16.99. — 13 days ago
Earthy and fruity. Funky with a mineral slightly salty taste. Little but if grapefruity taste. Slightly fizzy. — 7 months ago
