This was 100% CF - no sign of age, inky, w/impressive aromas of cherry cough drop, herbaceous, white pepper, medicinal - old school vibes on nose. Bit unruly on palate, definitely felt the heat and finish had some astringency. Not a huge fan of Paso Robles fruit… Still a decent quaff and scratches itch for varietal CF. — 2 months ago

8000th wine on here and it’s a doozy! Beautiful raspberry and blueberry fruit, exotic barrel notes, integrated perfectly. White pepper. Stems. Umami. Super exotic. Top notch barrels. Lighter than expected. Best domestic syrah ever? Kinda… thanks for tuning in! 8000 now and more to go. Maybe not Hahahha — 2 months ago

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Pretty nose of blackberries, black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, vanilla, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices, light wild flowers and black pepper.
Medium plus in body and smooth, with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and fruit forward with blackberries, plums, sweet cherries, spices, vanilla, tobacco, peppercorn, cedar, licorice, cola and chocolates.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious 5 years old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Elegant and rich. Fruit forward and complex.
Good right out of the bottle, and better with some airtime. Tastes very fresh and young. Well balanced and complex.
I had the 2014 vintage a few years ago and loved it as well. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
