Truly unique. Classic chenin flavors. But very singular and focused. Nutty, grassy, apple. Very very good. — 2 years ago
described as black current and black olives. Spot on. Every sip is exciting — 4 years ago
I mistakenly selected this bottle of the Moelleux rather than the Sec version of Clos de la Coulée de Serrant. And I gotta be honest, I didn’t even know this wine existed. Oh well, I can’t feel too bad about it, lol!Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2022 “Moelleux” pours a golden color with medium+ viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with heady notes of ripe orchard fruit: Gala apple, lemon drop, citrus tree flowers, lanolin and mild eastern spices. On the palate, the wine is off-dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose where the flowers took on more of a honeysuckle character. The finish is long and the texture is wooly and substantial. Not nearly as sweet as I was expecting from a Moelleux and actually comes across more Demi-Sec; a very pleasant surprise since it was picked by mistake anyway! This is better as it warms up and receives air. Can drink now with patience but better after 2032 and through 2052. — 22 days ago
Nosegasm, even refrigerator cold.
This wine is everything I love about chenin blanc. Spice, cola, floral honey in the nostrils. A honey velvet texture a lingering aftertaste, perfect refreshing acid balance. Damn good wine. — 3 years ago
Stone fruit and slate with a touch of grapefruit. Brighter than many French Sauvignon Blancs; very tasty! — 4 years ago
A dark and brooding GSM blend. Black cherry, charred meat, spice & pepper. Great balance, integrated tannins. Wonderful. Drink or hold. — 4 months ago
At first it reminded me of a Normandy craft cider. Then I poured some in my glass and the colour struck me. It's orangey and clearly turbid. Not your casual chardonnay Sunday evening pour. The nose is verrrryyy complex, pear, apple, honey, elderflower, white pepper, some slight apricot touch and some yeasty notes too (?). The palate is great too, good acid drive, pear and apple, honey, good width, soft mouthfeel that turns into a tannic wall in the rear that caresses the tongue before powering a multi-layered finish with honey, apricot, apple, pear, a savoury, salty touch. Wow this is wild. It's absolutely not the same wine nor the same tastes and varietals but this reminds to some extent of Joly's wines from la Coulée de Serrant. Extremist in the approach somehow. These guys will die on that hill with their ideas. — a year ago
Right up my alley! Not complex or very long, but one hundred percent joy. From about one ha vineyard, raised in old barrels. Nothing added. Wild fruit bomb containing lots of black currant, blackberries, grass and bell pepper. Medium tannins, astringent and coarse texture. — 4 years ago

Opened prior to dinner and enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2011 pours a bright gold color with medium+ viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with gorgeous notes of ripe and tart orchard fruit: bruised Golden Delicious apple, lemon drop, marmalade, white flowers, a whiff of clove, Marcona almonds, lanolin and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is wooly. Weeeeeee!!! A special bottle that’s drinking so well at the moment. Drink now with patience through 2036. — 21 days ago
