Argentinian Blend of Malbec (52%), Merlot (21%), Syrah (15%), Cabernet Sauvignon (7%), Petite Verdot (3%) and Cabernet Franc (2%). Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, blueberry, dark chocolate, wet soil and roasted nuts. Medium-plus body and very long finish. Creamy texture and fine tannins. Just a bit touch of sharpness. Bold and smooth. Great with grilled steak. Getting more of this wine. — 15 days ago
A nice Syrah for under $30. Not an extraordinary Syrah, but it tastes like Syrah and is a good value at its price point. — 2 months ago
Delicious! Great value at Costco — 16 days ago
The 2012 Maya is fabulous. Deep and explosive, the 2012 remains quite young. Black cherry, chocolate, espresso, licorice and gravel, along with the wine's natural concentration, convey and impression of virile intensity. As good as the 2012 is today, another few years in bottle certainly will not hurt. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2024)
