Opened to selebrate the Global Champagne Day. 100% Chardonnay from Vertus, Epernay, Pierry, Dizy, Mardeuil thus the name Quintette. Made from with vines ranging 36 to 71 years. 2016 vintage with 20% vin de Solera. Discorged Feb/2020 with 2g/l dosage. This is BdB with quite some substance, richness and energy. Both the nose and palate greets with toasty/brioche notes complemeted by mineral and flowery cents. Initially bit tightly wound but when you let it open it turns to beautiful and highly enjoyable BdB Champagne — 3 years ago

Dark ruby purple. Black currant cobbler on the inviting nose. Echoed on the medium full palate which adds red plum and light hints of French vanilla oak. Really good structure. Firm but approachable tannins and medium acidity. Moderate finish. A wonderfully old school Cabernet from a premium producer at a great price ($20!) cents ne enough "stuff" to lay down for a short while. Pop and pour, notes from 2 hrs open. On the nose: lovely plum.and blackberry, oak spice, soft cocoa powder, soft herbs in the background; very clearly delineated flavors. On the palate: fantastic acidity and density; spicy strawberry, and dark fruit...excellent tannin on the spicy finish. This is definitely structured to improve with some age, but it is already so drinkable now. Yum! — 3 years ago
