Solid Sangiovese in a very strong price point. I have bought these wines from Sassetti for decades. — 6 months ago

Surprised to find this, was CVed! Drinking great, shocking fresh and lifted profile, 27 years and it’s alive and kicking strong in a major way. It actually went well with Evan’s sushi bake of salmon and crab! Who’d guess! — 9 months ago
With violent. Oak, vanilla. black fruits. Smoky. Spices. Chalk. Good concentration from the beginning. Fruity, smooth, soft tannin. Spicy. CP good. Good not to chose beef. San Lorenzo Rosso Conero Umani Ronchi 21 @2233, Toscan, 240914-240919 — 2 years ago
Enjoyable Spanish wine, all in our group enjoyed it. — 4 years ago
This is showing beautifully right now, with a beguiling blend of orange peel, cassis, and anise aromas that carry over to the palate, where black cherries, balsamic notes, and a delicate mix of earthy autumnal spices provide a sensuous background. Soft mouthfeel with fine tannins that peek out a bit on the long finish, where the spiced citrus seems to last forever. Paired perfectly with pan-roasted wild mushrooms and dry-aged ribeye. — 6 months ago
2016 vintage.
80% Sangiovese, 13 % Merlot and 7% Malvasia Nera.
Dark, shiny red ruby in colour.
Red/black berries, cinnamon and pomegranate on the nose.
Bright acidity and the tannins are softening.
Dark cherries, leather, black flowers, walnuts and a light, herbal earthiness.

100% carmenere. Unexpectedly nice. Liked the balance of tanines - feels light and smooth. Fruity, but not too much. Blueberries as a first note. Pleasing experience. — 5 years ago
