Then 2013 Salvioni La Cerbaiola is drop dead Gorgeous in all aspects, including the deep, dark and dense ruby-red, garnet appearance, the fruit-laden, perfumed aromatics and flavors, as well as the well balanced structure of ample fruit, medium acidity, and gentle tannins at the long satisfying finish.
Overall, it’s medium/full, particularly elegant and vibrant, from a cooler than normal vintage that many described as a “return to classicism.” I’m unfamiliar with older vintages (prior to global warming) but this is MY style of Brunello. Refined, Classy and a Joy to swirl, sniff and savor.

Dreamy is the word that comes to mind as the 2018 Vigna la Miccia Marsala Superiore Oro wafts up with a decadent blend of roasted almonds and hazelnuts, complicated by gingery spice and baked peaches. This opens with a pretty inner sweetness and oily textures that are perfectly offset by notes of spiced citrus, cloves, cedar and a bitter tinge of coffee grounds. It cleans up beautifully, ridiculously long and staining yet still fresh, leaving hints of cocoa and butterscotch to linger on the finish. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2024)

Lovely Barbaresco, a bit light in color but nice in taste.
Not too heavy but brings a nice flavor of full body.
Not so tart and harsh as the one 2 days agon from Verduno.
The owners of the Vineyard Ca del Baio are 3 sisters, one went to school with Alessandro from Casa Ressia.
Excellent price for this wine.

Mid crimson in colour. Dusty notes of dried cherries, balsamic notes. Well made with good balance from a very reputable producer. Medium plus bodied - fuller than the average Rosso. Ripe fruit from the excellent 2019 vintage finishing with fine powdery tannins. Overall excellent. I will enjoy the Brunello from Salvioni in many years to come. Expensive for a Rosso at $170AUD. — 2 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour alongside the 2009 vintage. The 2005 “Giulio Ferrari” pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is vinous with lovely notes of graham cracker, bruised apple, and spiced peach. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and richer than the 2009. Drink now. — 23 days ago
