Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2019 Hommage à “Marguerite” is a blend of three 1er cru vineyards in Saint-Aubin: Les Perrieres, Les Combes, Les Creots. The wine pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of green apple, lemon, starfruit, mixed white and yellow flowers, marzipan and chalky minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and there’s a lovely, creamy texture that accompanies the racy acidity. Drink now through 2039. — 3 months ago

Incredible! Melon and passion fruit that melts into lambswool with a hint of copper.

Really nice for a basic Pouilly-Fuisse, and a great value. With a little air, the nose shows lifted, bright peach and orchard fruit, some of that nice wet straw and limestoney notes you want in a Maconnais white. Balanced in the mouth, with nicely gauged fruit, acids, and stoney notes. Not the deepest or longest, but nicely done. I’ve been very impressed with this producer. — 2 months ago
Well that’s one excellent mature Burg. No sharing on this one, though not intentionally — 6 months ago
This is a really nice Pouilly-Fuisse, an AOC I generally think is overvalued. Bright nose has limestone minerality, bright apple and pear fruit, wet straw, and the barest hint of barrel spice. Lower-toned on the palate than the nose suggests, it’s relaxed and deeply-flavored, lots of fruit and crushed rock minerality. Medium acids. Nice balance and depth. — 7 months ago

Another winner from what has become one of my favorite Maconnais growers. Nose has pure, peachy, ripe appley fruit together with crushed wet limestone. Fairly deeply flavored, with surprisingly nice acids for such a hot year and good mineral tension in the finish. The balance on this is so nice. — 19 days ago
