Typical OVR. Excellent every time. Vintage is speculation. — 2 months ago
The 2021 Christo is a brooding wine. Black cherry, plum, gravel, tobacco, menthol, licorice and dried herbs add to an impression of gravitas. Brawny tannins wrap it all together. This full-bodied red is very much intended for the dinner table. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2024)

Upon opening some fruit in the nose as well as some pepper. Moderate tanning on tasting as it opened up the fruit went away and it’s a little more peppery enjoyable. — 2 months ago
Little sweeter than a traditional zin. Nice wine. — 3 months ago
First bottle since series 64. Still reasonable — 7 months ago
Great zin but I can’t figure out what else is in the blend. Dark color and dark red berries and cherries in a mid-bodied, smooth blend. This is lot 74 — 2 months ago
Oh this is a good one! Beautiful vanilla nose! Dark rich color. Balanced throughout. Short mineral finish with a little cranberry. Low to medium tannins. Would buy again — 3 months ago
Massive, chewy, and muscular. Opaque in the glass with black fruits that grip like a snapping turtle. Black cherry, mulberry, blueberry. Blackberry pie with a crust left in the oven for a minute too long. This is not at all my style of wine but it gets a 9 cause it has a lot going on for sub $30 on the shelf. 14.7% abv.
