Monti Garbi Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore Corvina Blend 2020

Fresh, red fruited, spicy and cedar-y on the nose. The body brings fine-grained tannins and that alluring combo of dried fruits: cranberry, strawberry, and raspberry marinating in the fresh tart juice of said fruits. All is overlayed with black tea and just a hint of bell pepper. Good gosh, it is exactly what I love about Ripasso: richness lurks, but freshness prevails. — 5 months ago

Doppio Rosso Frizzante Barbera 2020

Light bubbles, but not too much. Semi-sweet at first taste, but smooths out once aired to pair with cheese and chocolate. — 2 years ago

Monti Coroni

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corvina Blend 2009

Truly a great value at $30. This Amarone is at the end of its life and is starting to turn brown, but it still delivered lovely bitter Amarone flavor. Deep dark fruit and chocolate. — 5 months ago

Thea Passito Romagna Albana 2019

Poured by “tap” at my local wine bar. Goldenrod color, slight frizzante & white flowers, peach skin on palate. Orange wine. Delicious & light bodied. Still wines from Romana are really grabbing me… — 4 years ago

@Ken Z Josephine no question. Especially for red. Josephine is actually made by zalto but I much prefer that line…

I thought it was a new venture from the previous owner of zalto to break away from the family business and do his own thing. I generally find I prefer my zalto glasses over my Reidel ones, but only around 80% of the time, and almost never for specific varietals (sangiovese). Just curious on your experience.

I learn something every day! I find the Josephine 3 brings Pinot to a place no other glass can. It’s wonderful. Also available on Amazon which makes it easy to find
