You could say this is v.nice. Ok, this wine is fantastic. Oak, vanilla, cocoa, leather, cooked jam on the nose. Dry, tannic, so fruity with plums, strawberry, and raspberry. Had the primitivo from this winery and they clearly know what’s up. Would love to have again, preferably every day until I croak. — 2 years ago

Campania with copains! — a year ago
Cinnamon and cloves on bouquet and palate combined those with red fruit though may get a little plum mid palate. Smooth to course tannins that add to the long lasting mouthfeel. Like a lot. 1 more bottle. Drink in next 5 — 2 years ago
Nuova Italia, Ilchester. Fruity and slightly unexpectedly sweet. Berries, fruit. Enjoyable enough. — 8 months ago
Very nice (haha, get it?). Seriously a beautiful wine all around but at $30/bottle you get what you pay for. Opaque purple color. Black cherry, chocolate, peppercorn, vanilla, and a hint of spruce tips on the nose. Cinnamon and strawberry taste, super complex. FULL bodied with an acidic bite underneath. Third wine from this winery, all were incredible. — 2 years ago
A new white for me. Had this at an Italian wine tasting at a new local wine store. I don’t think I have had white wine from the region of Paternopoli. Evidently this wine was introduced by the Greeks along the Tyrrhenian coast. The name comes from the characteristic shape of the cluster, whose grapes are grouped in pairs. Lovely hints of tropical fruit and very light. So delicious! Will pair with pasta and white sauce and a nice salad. Lovin it! Oh and by the way…I really have tried to be good this year! 😜 — 2 years ago

Revisited outside of a restaurant setting. Out of the bottle, A dark violet, inky coloration. No translucency. Very noticeable tears on glass. On the nose, amarena cherry, blueberry, warm baking spices, pipe tobacco, vanilla, and florals. On the palate, florals, blueberry, blackberry, amarena cherry, cassis, vanilla, very full bodied and velvety mouthfeel. Long finish of predominantly blackberry and cassis. Some pipe tobacco. Medium tannins. Fruit forward, very concentrated and full bodied wine. After an hour, the nose is full on dark chocolate and pipe tobacco. The palate is heavy dark chocolate, oak and dark berry with a very, very long chocolatey finish. After more time to decant add some anise to the mix. — 6 months ago
