Enjoyable with an abundance of fruit and soft tannins. I was hoping to wait, sadly it was my last bottle. — 19 days ago
Excellent Zin with a lot of fruits; blackberries, cranberries and some dark cherries. Also, spice, cedar and more. Did not know what to expect as Zin’s don’t go for a lot of aging. Happy I found this one in my cellar and have a couple of other Ridge wines I need to drink up.
I stopped purchasing Ridge years ago as I got into lighter wines. Visited Ridge Winery last century and had an excellent tasting as I remember and met and chatted with Paul Draper. — 18 days ago

Fruit fading but still there with a long satisfying finish on the palates — 21 days ago
An amazing entry level of Amici’s Cab Sauv. blend (80% Cab Sauv, 7% Merlot, 7% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Cab Franc). Solid and never disappoints. It offers a great abundance of black berries and dark cherry on the nose, pleasant mouthfeel, velvety, smooth, progressive and intense. Tannins are rounded and it has a potential to age. — a month ago
12:2024. nice fruit and finish. Nice color and sits well on the palate. Paired well with the short ribs at Mr. Friendly’s. — a month ago
The last time I had this was at The French Laundry trying to convince someone to support a nonprofit I love. The subsequent gift was generous but, somehow, underwhelming. This wine is like that. A great vintage, a great vineyard, in great hands, but it had so much more potential. I’m not whining about a 97-point wine; I’m lucky to enjoy it. But it could’ve been even more. — a month ago

Pleasantly surprised. ‘97s have been fairly consistent as they’ve aged (not sure they’ve reached the hype of expectations, but some have), and this being a low-barrier to entry purchase from a reputable producer made it an easy choice to acquire.
Followed over a few hours from bottle and it held strong.
Faded color with the red core starting to dull. Quick whiff of some VA, but it dissipated quickly. Aromatics of old pipe tobacco, fig and brambly red fruits. Old school Napa on the palate (13.8 ABV) with a more lively profile…red and black fruits with cedar, more tobacco and some dark cacao (which turned to a confectionary chocolate Tootsie Roll taste at the finish). Acidity is hanging in there but definitely in the drink-now zone. — 9 days ago
