This medium dark wine shows plum and blackberry on the nose, with hints of black pepper and herbs. The palate brings those dark flavors amid a somewhat watery mouthfeel with medium-firm tannins. On the medium-long finish, those savory spice and herb notes come forward. I bought this for cooking, for which it was fine. I was surprised. I asked for whatever Franciacorta they had, she said they only had Trentino opened, they offered this, and I was not disappointed. It was excellent.
@Raun Kupiec if you ever get a chance to try the Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fontadore (vintage), do it. It’s sensational.

This is an excellent Cremant. An explosion of red berries on the tongue, lots of bubbles. Very much like champagne, finishes dry and clean. Great price for such an outstanding sparkling wine — 18 days ago
