Court of Master Sommeliers 25th Annviersary Riesling 1999

At 24 years of age this is youthful and vital with a rich ridge of stone fruit braced by range citrus acid and a lingering, slightly mineral finish. Delightful. — 3 years ago

Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2023

Deep Ruby color with aromas of black fruits, cedar and baking spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and raspberry fruit with cola and cinnamon spice notes. Full-bodied, fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, oak and an earthy mineral character. Nice! — 4 months ago

Pheasant Hill Syrah 2014

Yes, I am reviewing this at 10 years old - and I’m impressed with its preservation, I just think the beginning point was a little on thin side (sugar development). Definitely a nice effort at a difficult varietal to mature on the east coast. Raspberry and mulberry notes lead - not a bad effort! — 2 years ago

Far Coast Vineyard Chardonnay

“This is a rad Chardonnay,” said one of our guests. Jeff Stewart, the winemaker, does a fantastic job of letting the grapes and terroir speak for themselves. There is a focus and precision about this wine and an internal tension that makes it feel alive. — 10 months ago

Hartford Court Muldune Trail Pinot Noir 2016

Green pepper, graphite and tobacco on the nose. Spice, raspberry, pencil shavings and leather on the palate. A little on the high end of alcohol, but it burned off a bit on the second day. — 6 years ago

Three Jacks Vineyard Chardonnay 2016

It’s a very rich style chardonnay, but it’s unapologetically delicious. Professional scores have it as high as 97 and the purity of fruit along with the deft use of french oak and balanced acidity are certainly deserving. It strikes a nice balance even with everything amped up and an alcohol level of 14.6%. Only 326 cases made, if you see a bottle in the wild drink it! — 7 years ago

@davidl Still trying to work through the lineup to get a feel for how the style plays with the really diverse vineyard lineup they have.
