Decant for sediment and pour(decent chunky/fine sediment). A remarkable murky magenta color with bricking. On the nose: beautiful nose of stewed black fruit/currants, floral, herbaceous, burnt embers, spearment. Taste: classic old school Napa, juicy, balanced, savory wine with dark cherry, baking spice, smoke, sweet tobacco and a nice long earthy cocoa finish. YUM! Drinks well at year 20 and glad to have another bottle. — 5 months ago
Picked this up from Rex or White. Served with a charcuterie board with Debbie and David. — 9 months ago
Decant for sediment and pour. A distinguished dark crimson color. On the nose: muted notes of sour cherry, touch of stewed meat, raspberry, rich soil, crushed rocks, and slight vanilla. Taste: Nice!...an elegant, smooth, soft, beautiful mouthfeel wine with sour cherry, spice, smoke, minerals, herbs, and a strawberry cedar medium finish. Bravo! It's got a few more years left in it. — 3 years ago
This was a nice pour out of 9L served up by their Winemaker, Trevor Durling. He and his team are a great group of people.
Really excellent evolution. Classic Private Reserve George Latour style. Fine, dark tarry tannins, dark cassis, wet clay, sandalwood, used tobacco, light herbaceous notes, understated lead pencil, some baking spices, dark spice, withering dark & red flowers, excellent round acidity, balance for days, soft structure & tension and an elegant, round, plush, velvety finish that close to two-minutes. — 3 months ago
2011 might be a forgotten vintage but this CB is really memorable. Did a pop and pour and it had great aromatics straight away. Medium to full bodied. Velvety. Layered. Dark berries, herbs, black tea, licorice, bay leaf. First wine on the trip to France. Great start! — 5 months ago

Decant and pour(lots of sediment). A stunning still dark ruby red with some bricking. On the nose: Compelling perfumed notes of stewed fruit, worn leather, wet earth, eucalyptus, and tobacco. Taste: silky smooth, balanced wine with dried sour cherry, smoke, graphite, and a nice spiced licorice cedar finish. YUM! Still holding its own and glad to have acquired a few more bottles. — 12 days ago
