$15 closeout & feels like theft! Inky massive, voluptuous wafting tons of dense black fruit, brooding, white pepper, game, bit feral, had a bit more nuance than many garden variety Shiraz. Great Australian semillon dessert wine. Vanilla, pepper, white chocolate, provincial herbs. Thick viscosity with very little acidity. Somm said the wine makers wanted to copy the flavor profile of d’yquem minus the acidity. — 8 years ago

Enjoyed this for years, but hadn’t seen it in a while and realized they changed their label - big time. Still great QPR: Tempranillo but darker fruit profile, licorice, earthy, swarthy, musky w/vanillin notes as well. Great complexity, enticing nose - equally delightful on palate, darker fruit but more like black cherry. Sturdy tannins, not elegant but provincial w/decent balance - just enough acidity to make it food friendly for charcuterie. — 2 years ago

The recipe for Swamp Juice- 1 part vodka, 2 parts pineapple juice, 1 part ginger ale.

Make lime jello and use before totally set.

Mix your drink and add a dollop or two of green jello.

I think I’m in love. I’m ready to book the next flight to Corsica! This wine is seductive. Beautiful candied red fruits, blood orange, Provincial spices, perfume & an unexpected twist, a whiff of suntan oil. Don’t let the light color fool you. This wine is amazing and complex. If you are a Cru Beaujolais lover, be prepared to have your socks knocked right off of you. If you are a Burgundy lover, be prepared for a happy palate and a happier wallet. So reminiscent of one of my all time favorite wines, the Corsican masterpiece Faustine. Go get a bottle now, before world discovers it. — 7 years ago

While I was down in Argentina a few years ago, I fell in love with Cabernet Francs out of Mendoza. Unfortunately, one of the sommeliers I was talking to down there said that only a small selection of Cabernet francs are imported into the states. Notes of Cherry, Cedar, provincial herbs and spice fill your nose. Full bodied red with hints of pine, black plums, licorice and blueberries. Super peppery finish that doesn’t last as long as I would’ve liked but still pleasant. Super fun and complex for a great price. — 8 years ago

Spot on! Everything you want in a provincial southern French red: ripe dark fruit, cassis, some leather & earth, bit of spice - relatively cohesive with fine grained tannins. Inky & rich, the only thing lacking was more concentration of flavor and a longer finish. — 9 years ago

Just fantastic — particularly at $14. This is an elevated southern French bistro wine: inky, deep rich aromas of red & black fruit, liqueur like, little smoky, little meaty, white pepper, licorice, earthy, floral — spectacular nose. Great extraction on mid-palate, finely grained tannins, oh so easy drinking w/nose confirmed with decadent flavors leading to a fine finish. Over performs as a provincial Ventoux wine - will go buy a half dozen bottles. — 3 years ago

Took over an hr to open beyond the damp barnyard nose when the cork was removed. Developed beautifully over the following 2 hrs until the wine blossomed. Very few noticeable tannins and a lovely blend of provincial spices, lavender and hints of leather. A beautiful 30+ second finish. This is one of the first cdp’s I’ve truly enjoyed. I do believe the 99 is likely on its way down but not by any means gone. I’d drink sooner than later. — 5 years ago

For the price, this is a fantastic rosé. Provincial style with a fruity minerality that paired well with lemon chicken linguini. This is a wine to be shared, drunk alone or paired with poultry or fish. Extremely versatile! — 7 years ago
