Rancho la Viña Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

2021 vintage. Tasted with the winemaker, Matt. Slightly more body (solid medium) than expected. Pretty nose with well-blended earth, delicate berries and brusque fruits. Concentration for daze. 4.10.24. — 6 months ago

Rancho Chimiles Vineyard Sparkling Valdiguié 2018

My second vineyard of Cruse sparkling Valdiguie and it’s good but it’s definitely the less interesting of the two. Where Deming was a pretty hazy white strawberry, Rancho Chimiles is more upfront - visuals and flavors of bright Jolly Rancher watermelon and pink strawberry starburst. A little overpriced at $35.

You will likely have no luck getting Ultramarine in TX. Mostly via allocation only and the secondary market is quite extreme...bottles often above $200 (release is $75). Wait list is lengthy. They are wonderful wines, so hopefully you luck out!

@Shay A yep I figured. I probably wouldn’t pay $75 if I found it anyhow. But I’m super curious to try

Rancho Chimiles Vineyard Pétillant Naturel Valdiguié

Pretty much a perfect pet nat.
Light salmon pink hue
Aromas of dried roses, strawberries, and watermelon that also come through in the palate — with yeasty, earthy effervescence.
I drank this 2 years ago and still think about it…

Can’t say I am a huge Sauvgion Blanc fan. This held up nicely for a 12 year old bottling. — 9 months ago
