This is a very pale Texas wine with a very citric nose. Lemon leads the way, but there is lime and orange peel in play, too. A hint of lemon chess pie floats through the minerality along with an herbal note. The palate shows apricot and nectarine flavors filtering through the spicy greenness of the herbaceous essence of the wine. The acidity is zippy, but not overly so. Pairing this with a cool, green salad this summer is a no-brainer. — 3 years ago
Juicy, dark red cherry/color, plum, tannin, acid, and great aromatics. Dry and Great! — 8 months ago
Dairyman Vineyard sits in the southern alluvial plains of the Russian River Valley near the ocean, a region where cooling fog comes in through the Petaluma Gap in the morning and once again in the evening. Bright Ruby, some purple edges, with aromas of ripe berries and baking spices. On the palate flavors of raspberry and black cherry with herb, cedar and cinnamon. Smooth fine tannins, medium+ finish with lively acidity, great structure, ending with fruit and cedar spice. A Fav! — 2 years ago
