fun bottle - will be great in 5 years. nice pre-ripe black currant on the finish — 2 months ago
A beautifully balanced wine with black currant, black cherry, with hints of violet, vanilla and leather. There is a beautiful hint of fennel and eucalyptus on the long finish. Most impressive is the finesse of this wine - great flavor without being overly extracted. Lovely — a month ago
Juicy Tuscan red blend with medium tannin and acidity enjoyed with steak salad at Willow and Ivy, Lennox Hotel, Boston — 2 months ago
Probably my favorite Sangiovese so far.
Nose is expressive - cherry, plum, graphite, spice, lavender.
Tastes like cherry and dark fruit, minerals, tobacco.
Full bodied, rich and intense.
With age it probably will live up to the multiple 96+ professional reviews. — 2 months ago

Another excellent vintage of “Second Label Sassacaia.” Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (40%). Aromas of black fruit, baking spices and cedar wood. Flavors of black cherries and currants, woody herbs, black licorice and those sweet baking spices. Long finish highlighted by beautiful freshness. Well softened tannins, bright acidity and a silky texture. Simply elegant and at its peak. Part of a June 2026 KZ Tasting. — 2 months ago
Really nice. Good flavour without being heavy. Mom liked, same with Dad. Rich meh. Had at her birthday. — 2 months ago
vintage 2016 | 80% nebbiolo, 15% vespolina, 5% croatina. Ten years old and fully alive and kicking. Brownish colour, tertiairy tones in smell. Very good balance, integrated tannines. I loved the bouquet: stinky in the positive way, spices, stewed fruit. A hint of manure. A Piëmonte nebbiolo that I like. Paired with a lasagne. — 3 months ago

2019 vintage. FLB collateral damage. Opened and decanted. Tasted after 20 mins, 1 hour and 1.5 hours. No noticeable development(s) during that time. Medium/medium-heavy body. Some chunk. Some refinement. Obvious quality evident. Similar to the 2016 vintage tasted 6.12.26. Very, very nice but ultimately incapable of reaching the stratosphere that multiple vintages of this wine have reached...and breached. Seek out the 2018 vintage of this noww and thank me later. 6.26.26. — 21 days ago
