Yalumba

Bush Vine Barossa Grenache 2023

Unusually complex for Grenache at this price range. Light and slightly savory. Notes of ginger, lemongrass, and pepper right after opening. Followed by mint and licorice after it opened up. — 12 days ago

Domaine A

Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

An excellent aged Cabernet to go with a Scotch Fillet at the local pub in Sorrento on Boxing Day night. Domaine A is living proof that Tasmania does get enough sunshine to ripen Cabernet Sauvignon. All the classic Cabernet descriptors - Cassis Tomato bush, and Tobacco leaf to the fore here. Medium weight with resolving tannins. — 2 years ago

Chocolate strikes me first. Blackberries and blueberries, a little clove, nice finish. Tannins are in check. Very pleasant. — 9 months ago

Dirty & Rowdy

Enz Vineyard Mourvèdre 2017

2017! Outstanding wine. Tasting great. So fresh but with some darker fruits. Stone, earth. So glad I was able to find some bottles to bring back the dirty and rowdy magic. Great wine — 3 months ago

Dirty & Rowdy

Alder Springs Chardonnay 2014

It’s picked up a little nuttiness to go with the fruit, minerals, and bright acidity. The acid is prominent enough on the finish that it is ever so slightly disjointed but still enjoyable. — a year ago
