Established in 1847 these guys know more than enough. Watermelon aromas, raspberry, crisp, dry just outstanding. Been a fan for a decade — 9 years ago
@Delectable Wine this is the “Pinot Noir Le Schulz.” Thanks!
Slowly unfurling nose of herbs, sour cherry, stone and incredible mineral complexity. This is my 4th Chat Sauvage 17 and these maybe the most mineral German pinots I’ve ever had. They also take a very long time to open and unfurl. Deep and stoney and slowly a perfume develops. Palate is superb. Wow. Elegant, concentrated and saturating. Early season and sour cherries abound on a bed of crushed rock dust. Dry and chalky tannins but are intermingled with terrific fruit. Sweet and high quality tannins and such terrific freshness. Wow. This is sick. Such a seriousness to it. What a long finish. So refined and fine. This is top class stuff. Wow the nose gets going after 15-20 minutes. Amazing perfume. A baby now and will surely improve over a decade. So deep. This is superb and has impressed me. Almost a 9.6 and I am not ruling it out. — 4 years ago

An initial California 2012 look - no rhyme/reason...a little Cab, Prop. Red, Pinot and possibly an outlier or two. The rest are tagged the same. This one ranked #9. — 10 years ago
Deep, ephemeral nose. Some flint and matchstick as well. Superbly mineral as all these wines are it seems. Perfumed cherry and cherry flower. Very very aromatic and intense. Really expressive of the place. So chalky and mineral. Some funk as well. Will blow off it seems. Palate is silky and sweet with tremendous grip and structure. Deep and dense with awesome mouthfeel and structure with a deep and tangy finish. Great purity. Chalky finish. Genius depth on the mid palate and moves into a very long finish. Elegant and airy but also substantial. Terrific. So complete and complex. Has structure to age 15 years. Needs 3-5. A serious Pinot. Wowza. After air this smells like high class Vosne Romanee but with a Rheingau twist. Serious aromas. Floral, berry expansive and deep. Palate is so nimble and has that red Riesling thing big time. Gorgeous. — 4 years ago

Parker 97 Found a couple on K&L, screw cap had me concerned, but it turned out fantastic. A little bricking but no pruned flavor. I wouldn’t decant at this point, just pop & pour
