Small producer making some excellent wines. Only $58 so quite on the low side these days for village puligny.

Very good on pop and pour.

Nose is gorgeous. Seashells. Some flowers. Very mineral. Intensely aromatic.

Palate has good richness. Very good. Mineral spine. On the dense side but by no means a sledgehammer. Really delicious. Sweet fruit. Very good amplitude. Almost a hint of peach.

Long lovely nicely fruited finish.

Wow. Can’t decide if this is plain dark or totally evil. Nose is dense blackberry and licorice flower. Almost sagrantinoey But it has a lovely sweetness. Palate is dark fruits. A bit of licorice. Mineral. Almost a hint of spicy mineral with a pleasant balancing hint of bitterness. The wine is on the sledgehammer side a bit so you have to be prepared for that. There is some brightness but it’s more In the background. As it opens some lovely licorice flower on the finish. Slightly pleasantly grippy texture. Not typical bojo gamay. But this has a place in a cellar. It’s a great example of what it is. Perhaps the only example of what it is. — 5 years ago

Nose is tropical flowers. A hint of honey. An hour in more dense. The most elegant honey. Not unctuous at all.

Palate is quite mineral. Fresh . Not unctuous more precise. Like really mineral water flavored with tropical essence. Not obnoxious. Very very elegant.

The great thing about this is that it has very elegant richness and integrated minerality. It’s not a sledgehammer. No obvious wood after 15 minutes.

Succulent.

Needs an hour for density to present itself. Then it’s amazing.

To my taste, the best year-in, year-out red of French Catalonia. The confit red fruits, pie spice, bramble and wood smoke on the nose make you think it’s going to be a sledgehammer...and then it’s all elegance, filigree and lift on the palate, as it’s only 12.5% alcohol.
