Okay, 2011 was supposedly a bad vintage. Don't tell the folks at Hall. This is really nice Napa Cabernet. Not a giant fruit bomb but excellently integrated tannins and acid. Very nice tastes of black fruit, raspberries and spices. The finish brings on very nice hints of coffee and smiley oak. A very nice wine that probably has another 8-10 years to mature. — 9 years ago

Tried to order The Prisoner, out, server suggested this. Great choice. No harsh tannins. Smooth with deep fruit and a bit smiley. — 9 years ago
Clear and bright pale lemon. Clean pronounced aromas of ripe apricot, sage, fennel and gingerbread. On the palate it's dry albeit with a lush glyceric texture with medium plus intensity flavors of of apricot pie with a smiley charred crust and a touch of nutmeg and spice. Medium plus alcohol, medium plus acidity, well integrated oak, balanced with a medium plus finish. Complex, unique and well balanced. Only 22 barrels. #staritahills #chardonnayfromthebestplaceonearth #chardonnay #centralcoastwine #californianwine #sbcountywines — 9 years ago

Young, fruit-first, medium weight, friendly zin. Lively, smiley-face wine with raspberry, blackberry, black cherry, boysenberry melange with a touch of smoky oaky savory lusciousness…the rustic grin of good Sonoma zin is hard to ignore…long vivid dinner companion with Sunday Best Braised Harvest Stew on a cool Fall Sunday… — 5 years ago
