#staritahills #pinotnoir this is nice because has a lovely maturing process and has complexity. — 3 years ago
I've always loved the 2014 Bloom's Field for it's pure cherry-berry fruits, minerality and tension. It's far from a blockbuster, but instead keeps you coming back to the glass with a display that is woodland and somehow autumnal, ripe yet also wiry, precise and juicy to the core. The perfect dinner companion, so to speak, but don't rush it, because this takes a good hour to really get the conversation going.

Could have more intense aromas and flavors. Still, great example of #staritahills #pinotnoir — 5 years ago
Concentrated raspberry and red plum aromas with glints and hints of red currant, cranberry and ripe red cherry. Tarragon strong with allspice afters. Very juicy center of this tootsie pop exhibits a slightly less sweet cherry, a touch of black pepper, cedar and cinnamon framing dense plum and both dried and ripe raspberry, subdued blackberry and a racy finish of cola and roobios pumping the brakes repeatedly on this well engineered rocket.

Lovely #pinot #pinotnoir from #staritahills #sbcounty #santabarbara Only 5 barrels produced! 100% #wholecluster — 4 years ago
I prefer this to the Pence Ranch #staritahills #chardonnay The latter seaming riper, sweeter with popcorn aromas. This #santamaria seems like higher acidity yet still has buttery autolytic notes — 4 years ago
Incredible how similar this seems to a Rioja! It has a little touch of mushrooms on the nose. Also medium+ intensity aromas of vanilla, cedar and toast. #staritahills #sbcountywines #sbcounty — 2 years ago
Pinot Noir from #sbcounty #sbcountywines #santabarbara is great admittedly but there are amazing #Syrah as well #staritahills — 4 years ago
There are a lot of seriously amazing #syrah that is coming out of #sbcounty from #santamariavalley and #staritahills like #storm #dragonette and #holusbolus #zotovich yet this seems like an antithesis to what I love about those wines. This smells and tastes like chocolate milk on acid. Where’s the crushed pepper? Where’s the rich black fruit and herbs? Reminds me of the Wendy’s commercial “where’s the meat?” For me the oak isn’t noble. Seems like staves or chips. This is a 2017 it should be showing complexity and tertiary but it’s just one-dimension fruity raspberries, milk chocolate and acid. Not my thing #losolivos #overrated — 4 years ago
