#staritahills #pinotnoir this is nice because has a lovely maturing process and has complexity. — 5 years ago
I've always loved the 2014 Bloom's Field for it's pure cherry-berry fruits, minerality and tension. It's far from a blockbuster, but instead keeps you coming back to the glass with a display that is woodland and somehow autumnal, ripe yet also wiry, precise and juicy to the core. The perfect dinner companion, so to speak, but don't rush it, because this takes a good hour to really get the conversation going.

Could have more intense aromas and flavors. Still, great example of #staritahills #pinotnoir — 6 years ago
The Gevrey of Central Coast Pinots. Mushroom, black tea and roasted fruits, balanced by energy, low alcohol and lift. Excellent value. #longoria #pinotnoir #staritahills — 8 years ago
#staritahills #pinotnoir #sbcountywines #paliwineco I believe a 90 is the right score for this wine. It's aging beautifully for a 2011. Deep and ripe PN the aromas are more VA and almost syrah or Zinfandelish than PN. What I love is the body and the refinement on the palate. There's a lovely sage and myrrh sensation that later leaves a dark cherry jam finish. Warm alcohol. — 9 years ago
Clear and bright pale lemon. Clean pronounced aromas of ripe apricot, sage, fennel and gingerbread. On the palate it's dry albeit with a lush glyceric texture with medium plus intensity flavors of of apricot pie with a smiley charred crust and a touch of nutmeg and spice. Medium plus alcohol, medium plus acidity, well integrated oak, balanced with a medium plus finish. Complex, unique and well balanced. Only 22 barrels. #staritahills #chardonnayfromthebestplaceonearth #chardonnay #centralcoastwine #californianwine #sbcountywines — 9 years ago

Incredible how similar this seems to a Rioja! It has a little touch of mushrooms on the nose. Also medium+ intensity aromas of vanilla, cedar and toast. #staritahills #sbcountywines #sbcounty — 4 years ago
Lovely #pinot #pinotnoir from #staritahills #sbcounty #santabarbara Only 5 barrels produced! 100% #wholecluster — 5 years ago
I prefer this to the Pence Ranch #staritahills #chardonnay The latter seaming riper, sweeter with popcorn aromas. This #santamaria seems like higher acidity yet still has buttery autolytic notes — 6 years ago
Médium garnet, legs, medium nose, potpourri, dried roses, slightly meaty and bloody, cumin and sage and smoke. On the palate it’s completely #californiawine with a rich and luscious body and flavors. Strawberry tart and rhubarb. With a touch of leather. Wicked #pinotnoir from #staritahills #zotovich — 8 years ago

Not sure what to think about this one. My friend liked it. I on the other hand did enjoy it as much. Seemed to me to be sort of a creamy fruit forward Pinot. It may have been because this was a second bottle of the night my palate was off a bit. Normally I love this producer so I will revisit and see if anything changes. #saarloosandsons #staritahills #losolivos #pinotnoir #winestagram #california #centralcoastwine — 8 years ago
Jay McInerney said about his first time tasting Chardonnay from Santa Rita Hills "It was a little like meeting Jessica Simpson only to have her start speaking perfect French in Carla Bruni's voice."
Anjou pear, Meyer lemon zest, almond paste, and vanilla poached peach.

Concentrated raspberry and red plum aromas with glints and hints of red currant, cranberry and ripe red cherry. Tarragon strong with allspice afters. Very juicy center of this tootsie pop exhibits a slightly less sweet cherry, a touch of black pepper, cedar and cinnamon framing dense plum and both dried and ripe raspberry, subdued blackberry and a racy finish of cola and roobios pumping the brakes repeatedly on this well engineered rocket.

Pinot Noir from #sbcounty #sbcountywines #santabarbara is great admittedly but there are amazing #Syrah as well #staritahills — 5 years ago
There are a lot of seriously amazing #syrah that is coming out of #sbcounty from #santamariavalley and #staritahills like #storm #dragonette and #holusbolus #zotovich yet this seems like an antithesis to what I love about those wines. This smells and tastes like chocolate milk on acid. Where’s the crushed pepper? Where’s the rich black fruit and herbs? Reminds me of the Wendy’s commercial “where’s the meat?” For me the oak isn’t noble. Seems like staves or chips. This is a 2017 it should be showing complexity and tertiary but it’s just one-dimension fruity raspberries, milk chocolate and acid. Not my thing #losolivos #overrated — 6 years ago

Killer #Syrah with amazing freshness #highacidity at the same time as 14.8% alc. so #staritahills all the black pepper and violets on the nose and all the ripe tannins and blackberry candy on the palate. @Ryan Zotovich — 7 years ago

Lovely #pinotnoir #calipinot #staritahills — 8 years ago
Deep ruby color, pronounced primar aromas of ripe black fruits, secondary aromas of brown sugar, coffee and toffee. It has a fresh medium+ acidity, ripe soft tannins and high well integrated alcohol. Long finish. Can definitely age for 5-10 years. Truly #syrah the one way to recognize it's from #California is just a touch of sweetness and that alcohol, otherwise it would be very difficult to distinguish from any #worldclass #staritahills — 9 years ago
