Loved this red when I first started drinking red — a year ago
Magenta color with light rose rim.
Fresh forest bouquet, pine needles, unfamiliar fruit.
Dark chocolate and herbaceous on the palate.

An interesting one.
Smells to me like Cab Franc.
A lot of unripe fruit, pheonolic bitterness, high acid AND tannins. A real pucker up special.
I get the sense that it's heavily extracted but somehow it retains a kind of lightness and in some way a weird balance works out here. My it sure it would ever be a go-to wine, IDK maybe paired with a fatty fatty pig on a spit it might be just the ticket! — 23 days ago
