Tried two of their more current releases, 21 Russian River & 21 Crown Gap and this 2017 Thorn Ridge from Magnum. Always consistent, solid Pinots from KB. Paired well with the Duck.
At Pebble Beach Food & Wine 2025.
The ticket to this event has a pretty big price tag. But when you consider what a Napa etc. tasting or two and lunch would cost you, you are pretty much there and there is so much more than that. It ends up having great value. It’s wine, spirits and food candy land.

What a wonderful wine!!! We enjoyed it with a surf/turf dinner (steak & scallops). It was full bodied enough to go along with steak while remaining light enough so it didn’t overwhelm the scallops… — 3 months ago
Pretty intense for a Cab Franc, but I loved it. Bonnie found it a bit harsh. — 5 months ago
1hr+ decant. Dark purple color. Dark fruit and cough medicine, with hints of prunes and baking spices on the nose. Cough medicine and more alcohol than I expected on the palate. Zero oak and lacks structure. Medium depth and the wine really coates the palate and sticks to your teeth. Medium plus finish. Good, just not my style.
Downgrading from 93 as this has become very harsh in the palate and fruit is gone. — a year ago
High acidity, very dry. It’s earthy, menthol with dark fruit and leather. — 3 months ago
I don’t think of Clark Smith as a Pinot Noir kind of guy, but I knew he made wines that age. This was no exception, nothing short of sensational. — 3 months ago
Pale ruby color- very translucent. Had to give this one a 30 min. decanting. Muted red fruit flavors, black olive, floral notes and earthy. The 10 years has given this some interesting flavors of cranberry, cherry, baking spices and a red fruit finish. — 10 months ago
Very good. Especially for the price! ~$10 — 2 years ago
"Odedi"
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Very fruity on the nose and full bodied with medium minus acidity.
Dry to off dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing black currants, blackberries, cooked plums, oak, vanilla, dried fruits, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices, light herbs and peppercorn.
Short finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 8 year old Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara County is still drinking very nicely, but will not get better from this point.
Complex and easy drinking. Fruit forward with a touch of RS. Rich and extracted with a mouth coating feel.
A nice sipping wine.
14.6% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
