This rosé is everywhere in Switzerland. I think it’s the 4th time I’ve had it. Got this bottle at the train station lol. Very concentrated. Strong acidity, strawberry and orange. Mouth watering finish with a touch of lavender and Provençal herbs. I can see why they like it so much here. Screams European summer (or après-ski on a sunny afternoon). Not fussy, but still elevated. — 10 months ago

2017 vintage. Last tasted 01.27.25 (9.2). Good primer/introductory Barolo for those unfamiliar/scared. Some fruit. More structure but never too much as to force the villagers to flee. Excellent, crushable Barolo now (and for the next half-decade) and the price comes in on the weekday train vs the weekend edition. 05.14.25. — a year ago

Cullen Mangan at 18 years - superbly delicious and reintegrated compared to where it was at 10 years old. The Malbec and Petit Verdot still seem to oxidize at different rates upon opening, but each stop on the train is interesting and delicious. At about an hour out it is scrumptious. Red Riesling. So relaxed and fine that it’s difficult to notice how masterfully it’s been raised. Cranberry and raspberry, with none of the stewed, cola, birch notes that wreck so many Oregon Pinots. Exceptional. — 7 years ago

A little Produttori nightcap on the road. Somewhat medicinal on initial pop but with an hour or two of air reveals beautiful cherries, dried flowers and herbs. Looking forward to finishing this on the train back home tomorrow evening. — 9 years ago

This is a knife hit of an underripe apricot, smelling almost of good? mildew and plum fingernails in starfruit, white plum, and lemon-pig laundry sheets. Pretty sure I sold this in the late nineties, bulk. Lemony-apricot dries up your palate into pure Cotts canyon, borderline sweet onion in lemongrass oil with light basil. Grow some neck muscles, train with PEDs and dive into this empty pool. Yer da man! — 10 years ago

Blackberry and meaty aroma. Blackberry fruit flavors initially gives way to a lot of mushroom and barnyard flavors. Medium-bodied, with a strong backbone that provides a mouth-puckering finish. Thinner than the '12, with more funk, less meat. Different; no less enjoyable. One of the best values, if not one of the best overall wines, out there for under $20.
