Post Elsa checklist- gnarly drinking Sangiovese, nobile-tough. Always better day two. Elsa was a bit anticlimactic down in The Gulf Coast, so this got special attention; very disjointed on day 1, but reconstituted afterward; blackberries. Ready to rumble w Elsa on day 2-3, eh? @Severn Goodwin — 4 years ago
Nice surprise, light and smooth.....went well with a meat and cheese board — 7 years ago
In the glass, bursts of lime and vegetal notes of asparagus , just slightly hints of oak and vanilla. Silky butter notes and more oak on the palate. Citrus and grapefruit notes. 12.5% this is a no brainer for a nice evening. — 4 years ago

Chianti made from grapes grown along the Elsa River. Blend of Sangiovese (85%), Canaiolo (10%), Malvasia (3%) and Trebbiano (2%). Bright ruby color. Aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, black raspberry and violets. Same fruits on the pallet with hints of bramble berries and roasted nuts. Hint of baking spice on the finish. Light body and slightly tannic. Interesting. — 3 years ago

Kind of an amazing blend that truly seems to represent Etna with both the nerello mascalese and the frappato/nero d’avola. Had a little more weight and power than I expected, while still retaining freshness — a month ago
