Paul Bara

Special Club Brut Grand Cru Champagne 2016

Sensational Champagne with pale gold color and deep autolytic flavors. Crisp ripe apple and lemon, chalky minerality, subtle raspberry, biscuit, brioche, Acacia, hawthorn, and hazelnut with an achingly long finish showing chalk, flint, honey and biscuit. A dazzling match with pan-seared scallops. — 2 months ago

Matthiasson

Village Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Feel like every time I want to drink Mathiasson its more expensive than the last time. I love what they’re about in Napa so don’t mind supporting them. This is so good. — 3 months ago

José Michel & Fils

Special Club Brut Champagne 2015

Golden yellow in color, with delicate and lively bubbles. The nose has elegant aromatic complexity, with superb finesse, floral hints (rose), hazelnut, and almond aromas. Generous and unctuous, with undertones of toasted bread, stewed yellow-fleshed fruit, and a slight floral touch. — 3 months ago

Special Club Brut 1er Cru Champagne Blend 2012

Pale lemon in color.

Medium bodied with high acidity and medium sized bubbles.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing limes, grapefruits, lemons, green apples, brioche, yeast, minerals and spices.

This 13 year old Champagne feels very young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Complex and interesting.

Easy drinking and good by itself or with food.

11.5% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$120.
