Alas, after the very recent bottle 1999 Copa Santa, which was very fine, this vintage/bottle is very average/ordinary, thin, probably a little past it, disappointing. 🤷🤷 — 5 days ago
[Mostly old vine Syrah, with small dollops of Mourvèdre and Grenache, 12-14 months in barrel, not sure if new or used]
Pristine quality cork, garrigue, low-level Brett, smoky, well-balanced, still very crisp and youthful, longish finish, punches well above its weight!! — 6 days ago
Still quite dark purple-red color, nose is quite closed, some mineral, iodine and black pepper aromas, red and black fruits which taste quite primary and youthful, great acid balance, structure shows in the long, lingering finish, I’d guess 10-15 more years of further aging on this to maturity, but awfully great tonight!! — 5 days ago
100% Pinot Meunier, apple, dried berries, great acidity, nice balance, long, lingering finish, very fine!! — 7 days ago
Lemon and honeysuckle, less green and herbal, salinity, minerality, very good acid, medium-long finish, good. — 18 hours ago
Super crisp and refreshing, minerality, great acidity, floral notes as well, medium-long finish, very nice Pinot Bianco! — 4 days ago
Dark purple-red color, redfruits and some mineral notes as well, fine balance, good acidity, much more evolved than the 2005, seems to be close to mature, though I’d guess it will hold here for 5 more years, long, lingering finish, excellent. — 5 days ago
[En magnum, 80% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc] Medium-dark purple color, dark plum and spicy aromas and flavors, youthful but not overly tannic, great balance, lowish (12.5%) ABV (my strong preference in Bordeaux), fresh and lively, medium-long finish, should easily age 5-10 more years (particularly in this magnum format, very good! — 7 days ago
