Quite light ruby , wide pink rim . Lots of tart red fruits , cranberry , raspberry , with fresh cut herbs and rose . On the palate this is very fresh with lots of red fruits and quite high refreshing acidity . Good fresh herbal crunchy cranberry, orange rind finish with lightly grippy tannins . Perfect now and over the next 5 years or so . At Osteria Giro de Vite, in Monchiero , a little place just outside of the Barolo region that is well worth visiting . — 2 days ago

Quite light lemon , hints of green . On the nose this is quite fruit forward , with citrus , come apricot , touch creamy , butter and some light struck match notes . On the palate this has good volume , with nice ripe fruits , citrus peel , yellow fruits , creamy touches . Quite round but really enough acidity to balance . Medium lemon yellow . Quite closed at first , this improves with air , actually was finished the following day . White flowers , camomile , quite chalky , a bit funky also . On the palate quite strict and direct , with quite sharp acidity , which does stick out a little bit . Quite lean on the palate On the palate there are notes of lemon , wet stone and white flowers . Quite good mineral , stony length . I can imagine this still ageing quite well , but it probably won’t improve very much . — 10 days ago

Slightly deeper colour than the Aurum , more lemon yellow . Quite aromatic with more yellow fruits , apricot , touch of peach , then some basalt , stony , crushed rocks . On the palate this is agaín quite intense, high acidity , light toasty note with same yellow fruits on the nose , orange rind . Long and saline , mineral on the finish . With more time in the glass this becomes even more intensely saline and mineral. From now and over the next 5 years , maybe more . Impressive . This is the Sur Lie with a mix of 3 vintages. — 14 days ago

Medium ruby , bright with quite wide ruby rim . Ripe red berries on the nose , really open and expressive, strawberry , raspberry , some herbal tinges also . Quite ripe , but still enough freshness . On the palate ripe red fruits , strawberry , raspberry and light red cherry . Suave tannins , integrated alcohol and fresh acidity , still with silky mouthfeel . Good slightly stony tinged red fruit finish . Drinking very well but still young and fruit driven , quite ripe but still well balanced . From now and over the next 5 -8 years . A medium lemon yellow colour . Discrete and mineral in the nose , crushed rocks , touch of toastiness , citrus peel , camomile. On the palate this is super fresh and lively . With lemon , lightly toasty , pretty intense crushed rocks. Good texture too , which balances very well with the high acidity . Nice refreshing length . Medium deep ruby, quite bright and intense , thin ruby rim . Quite deep and spicy on the nose , with a touch of oak and dark cherry , quite a lot of summer fruits also , flowers and an earthy , herbal tinge, which becomes more prominent with time . On the palate this is very suave and detailed , very polished , lots of sweet dark cherry , some blackberry and spiced raspberry too. Earthy , mineral twist on the finish . Polished tannins and well judged acidity , even at 14o alcohol there is no heat , only roundness . Balanced acidity and long , sappy finish , mixed with summer fruits, floral with a lightly toasty hint . Very young , fruit dominated but enjoyable none the less , a great life ahead . This really improves with air becomes more mineral and earthy , showing more backbone and tannin , but always remaining complete and balanced . Come back in 5 years or so , will drink well a further 5-10. Very promising, and a great experience. — 11 days ago

Quite dense , with ruby , and a narrow ruby garnet rim . Quite a lot of dense fruit on the nose , cassis , blackberry , dark cherry some spice , but lively and fresh . On the palate quite velvety , suave tannins , balanced acidity . Quite juicy with the same of the dark fruits from the nose , cassis , blackberry . Lightly gritty tannins and good acidity , intergrated alcohol . Long dark fruit stained finish . Still really quite young and fruit driven . A beautiful bright , light ruby pink , luminous . Really very deep for a rosé Champagne . On the nose lots of red fruits , cherry , raspberry , strawberry and red currant , touch of spice and rose also . On the palate again , lots of fruits and quite a lot of body , strawberry , raspberry and red cherry , red currant from the nose , spice hints though balanced acidity , quite round , full mouthfeel. Good length fruity , spiced finish. Quite unique in style, probably not for everyone, especially if you like focused , mineral roses. Drink now . Reminds a bit of a light Bourgogne Rouge with bubbles ! Well made , and certainly conversation inducing. At La Vertu in Reims . — 10 days ago

Quite light ruby garnet , wide garnet rim . A bit funky at first on the nose , touch farmyardy , then opens up to show some cherry , dried rose , touch earthy , herbal notes . On the palate this is again slightly funky , quite edgy acidity , touches of dried cherry , slightly gritty chalky notes . This needs time in the glass to show its best and does get better , but this might not be the best bottle .
