This is quaffable enough. Orange zest under blackberries. A oak is a bit heavy handed.

After a slew of ho-hum wines, this is very refreshing! A bit light bodied, so I didn't think i was getting much on the first sip, but it really has a nice depth of flavor and nuance. Would definitely try again with various food pairings.

A happy amount of funk, but overall this Italian PN falls flat. It's more Cali than I hoped. White pepper, raspberry, bitter finish.

Kansas City wine number 3. Too much oak. This is not what Pinot Noir should be. Sorry, Banshee, you lose.

This is a fine bargain wine. Tangy fruit- cranberry and orange. A holiday Yankee Candle comes to mind 🤔 A bit jagged on the finish, but pleasant enough on a cold evening.

This inexpensive Graves was very unremarkable. Blackberry and plum fruit, with a little graphite. This wine is very thin and flat. Would not buy it again.

@Delectable Wine this is Langhe Nebbiolo. This was very pleasant for the price. Good, bright cherries and flowers. I have no complaints.

The nose on this is stunning. Big and black fruit with a dollop of tar. The pallete follows the nose with blackberries, plum, dusty rock, and dark soil. An enjoyable balance of fruit and earth. Steak wine! This is excellent.

Just curious Dave, as a non native English speaker. I was always under the assumption that palette is something that a painter uses and the palate is what you use to describe the tasting sensory system. I see palette more often used in wine descriptions. Can you enlighten me?
Dave

Dave

You are correct! And I, as an English speaker, am known to misspell frequently 🤦‍♂️ Palate is correct! @Jan A

Kansas City wine number 2. This is pretty bad. Tart, fruity, blackberry and cranberry. Not liking it.
