Cheap Bordeaux today. This is just ok, some dark fruit, some earth, enjoyable tannins. Would play nice with steak or a burger.

@Dave, it truly was, Swan has always made great wines, but they focus on what’s in the bottle vs. the “marketing” side of things (IMHO, they of course MAY disagree) — but if you EVER see a Swan wine retail at a price you’re good on, please give them a try!!

I don't spend a lot on Chianti. In the $20 range there are plenty of winners and losers. This is pretty good. Juicy cherries, chewy tannins, vibrant acidity. Better than the average 8.7 score it's received.

Cheap and unremarkable, yet here I am remarking. Very light mouthfeel, but flavors are true to CC. Moderate tannins. You could guzzle this on pasta or burger night.
