Tasted blind. Dark reddish tawny color. Refined nose with notes of black fruit, provencal herbs, earth and a little wood. In the mouth it's more linear than opulent. Several struggled with guessing the varietal and origin, especially me as I guessed old Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Even with more air it wasn't easy to identify this as Bordeaux, perhaps because of the vintage. Yet this was a decent wine and by no means a disappointment. — 5 years ago

This is quite impenetrable. Dark fruit/ on the nose brooding, almost inky blue fruit. Underneath blackcurrant, slate, black pepper, tarriness. Then in the palate pure, pure dark fruit and lean minerality. An exceptionally well preserved bottle, but a long time ahead. Great balance. — 6 years ago

From one of the region’s all-time greatest vintages, aromatic, musty and earthy on the nose with dried violets, the signature aroma of roses, damp forest floor, dried red cherries.
