Vintage 2010 / The first bottle I open from a box. Lovely smell with butterscotch, butter and a hint of honey. Awesome balance. 2010 is a year with high acidity, I think this riesling can age decades. Probably excellent for grandchildren - but only if I leave them in the cellar 😆 — 5 years ago
What to do when the amount of Coronavirus cases keeps increasing in California. Start the night off with a glass of one of our favorite N/V Rosé Champanges.
All my numerous notes still apply!
Stay infection free folks! Cheers! 🍾🥂

Medium purple; medium plus intensity aromas of dried black fruit, black plum, blackberry, black cherry, subtle baking spices; dry, medium acid, medium tannins, high alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; long finish, flavors concentrated and well balanced with structure, very good — 5 years ago
This is my favorite moscato yet. Thank you Vietti for being a beautiful winemaker and also making this. If there were white peach jolly ranchers tossed into some grapefruit and Meyer lemon juice and then you dashed in some orange blossom and magically gave it velvet bubbles that’s this. It’s...delicious. You’d think at a mere 5% abv I’d have a cooler word than “delicious” but damn this is. — 5 years ago
Gold color, medium+ viscosity and medium intensity. Oxidation and Botrytis on the nose: blue cheese, mousy, cider, bruised apple and baked pear, volcanic ash/smoke, red plum, flinty chalky minerality. Fruit went tart on palate, green apple, green pineapple, green mango, still honey saffron wasabi. Dry, medium body, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol, long finish. — 5 years ago

Wednesday Wine Committee from this past week. A fantastic hosting by @joe leatherwood . 1 sparkler, 2 whites, 5 reds, 1 dessert wine. All tasted blind as usual.
Very good right now and hardly showing any heat. It’s so well balanced and integrated that I called this early ‘80s port. Plethora of baking spices, cherry liqueur, dark cocoa dipped graham cracker, dates and cherry fig. Nice sweetness. In a good window. — 5 years ago
