Seamless. Creamy, lemony, with a little almond skin on the finish. Really beautiful. Never mind the 😾 photobomber. He prefers Orange Wine . . . — 5 years ago

Domaine Brazilier

Brut Methode Traditionnelle Coteaux du Vendômois

Beautiful dark salmon color. Nose is all strawberry & citrus. Light red fruit with white pepper notes accenting the finish. Accompanied by one of the greatest non-Jamaican Reggae bands & albums. All good on a Monday. — 5 years ago

Château Pavie Macquin

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

I gazed into the recesses of one of my wine fridges and saw this young sapling; I could not resist the call of indulgence. Remarkable purity of fruit with plums, cherries, rose petals, mint, graphite, and tilled earth. Looking forward to this opening up. — 5 years ago

Dom Pérignon

Brut Champagne Blend 2009

A bit reticent upon opening, this blossomed into a great glass of Champagne. Melange of fruits, especially red fruits, citrus, slate and yeasty goodness. Expansive finish. Great balance. Cont’d to improve over a few hours. — 5 years ago

@Ryan Mullins and @Jeff Loo are spot on. This needs 10 years. I double aerated back into bottle for 12 hour corked decant and after two hours open in glass this is still closed. You can still taste the potential though. There is a density and purity of fruit behind it that I’m excited to open up one day. Was still a great experience. 94 for now. Will hold remaining bottles for at least 5 years. Please yell at me if u see another post of this wine before then. — 5 years ago

Nice. I bought for years but got too pricy. Have a couple of cases in basement. I’m afraid to drink it.

Never buy on release,, I only buy on Auctions. Haven’t had a bad bottle yet,
Down to two 05, two 12’s & two 13’s plus one 06.
The 11 is great for the price if you can find it for $175.00 or less, one of the few 2011 which were actually good

Domaine La Suffrene

Bandol Rosé Mourvedre Blend 2018

Salmon in colour and very southern France in the nose - with some shy melon and berry but pronounced rosemary, lavender, herbs de Provence. Nice structure with some weight, a touch of tannin and great juicy acidity with a salty finish. This is a great food wine and a nice example of Bandol rosé. — 5 years ago

Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet

Grand Cru Clos Vougeot Pinot Noir 2015

I've said this time and again - I love Amelie's wines, but I guess it's time to stop... since Nicolas has now joined the estate. What a dream team! Amelie's Rousseau-like touch on the wines, with Nicolas' DRC-emboldened viticulture skills. I love Berthaut-Gerbet!

The 2015 Clos Vougeat is the first vintage of this wine. Got this straight from the domaine and was planning to keep it around a little longer, but I got tempted. Plus I wanted to share my love for Berthaut-Gerbet with a good friend.

Sure it's practically murder, but gawd, it's so pleasurable. The bouquet was filled with red and dark berries, rose and sweet spice. Palate's so rich, yet energetic. Oak, seamless. Texture, supple. Finish, endless with an underlying minerality. The wine was just vibrating with energy. A fine and pure example of CV. So glad this showed so well, given how lots of 15' red Burgs have just shut right down.

Ashes & Diamonds Winery

Blanc No 2 Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2016

Low alcohol 12.5%. Semillion/Sauvignon Blanc blend very well done. Limes and already a hint of hazelnuts. Like a white Bordeaux made in California. I mean this in a good way! — 5 years ago
