I was expecting a heavy extraction, moderately oaked #alexandervalley #cabernetsauvignon . Tasting notes are by memory from last week but purple/black berries, some earth on the nose. The palate was a delightful surprise with velvety dark fruit yet nice balance with acidity and lovely earthy, leather and some dried herb notes I couldn’t quite place. Fairly typical Sonoma County #cabernetsauvignon impressions on the nose, brambly fruit, touch of earth. Notably more dusty fruit on the palate, decent acidity considering how hot that year was. Less of a jam bomb so this #alexandervalley Cab was pretty enjoyable to me. — 23 days ago

Josh is a volume producer and their many labels can be hit-or-miss. However this is a solid Reserve #alexandervalley Cab effort. Nicely balanced on the palate, big purple/black fruit but not too jammy. Some spice notes and a velvety tannic finish. — 3 years ago
